Marston Wong was born and raised in San Francisco. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1968. In 1972 he received his dental degree from Northwestern University Dental School. He completed residency training in Endodontics in 1981. He also has a Masters of Science Degree in Oral Biology from George Washington University.
Dr. Wong proudly served 20 years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps where he retired with a rank of Colonel. Among his most satisfying experiences was being the Chief of Endodontics in postgraduate general dental residency programs where he was actively involved in research and education. He has authored countless dental research articles published in the Journal of the American Association of Endodontics.
Over the years, Dr. Wong has had a special interest on the subject of patient anxiety in the dental office. He has authored numerous research articles on the subject of psychological factors in the dental setting. He brings to his practice of Endodontics a keen sense of his patients’ anxieties due to past traumatic experiences, hearsay, or the fear of the unknown. Patient’s are shown a proven effective method of relaxing in the dental setting which empowers them to overcome their anxieties.
Dr. Wong is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the American Association of Endodontists and is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Dentists.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Marston and his wife Arleen live in Granite Bay and have served the Folsom community for nearly 20 years. They have 2 children, Eric and Kristin. Both Marston and Arleen are avid tennis players and golfers.
